Condo tower redesigned to fit historic Chinatown
October 7, 2015 – A proposed new condo tower at the corner of Keefer and Columbia Streets in Vancouver has been redesigned to better fit the architecture of nearby Chinatown, and to include senior housing.
The new tower has been strongly opposed by local community leaders. The changes are the result of a series of meetings between city officials, the developer, and community activists.
It’s not yet clear whether the changes will be accepted by the community.
